Don't judge me by my past

The pursuit of self-esteem is useless if it’s based upon an older version of you that no longer exists

I used to be good at many things I’m no longer good at. I no longer look twenty; I no longer have a size 8 figure; I no longer have 20/20 vision; I can no longer go out dancing all night; I can no longer bungee because, quite frankly, what was once fearless  adventure now terrifies me.

And the list goes on...

We need to regularly adjust our own beliefs about ourselves and our strengths. Then play to the strengths we have now.

Keep adjusting your self-image and self-esteem to match your current abilities and skills, not those of your past.

Accept yourself based upon what’s going on in your life right now, not some distant past version of yourself.

Think about the ways you do this to yourself.

Be willing to adjust your own self-image. Reincarnate into yourself.

Just for today.
